I got to sleep in a bit on Sunday morning which was very welcome. In the afternoon gordonmessmer and a friend of his and I went for a ride down to the Harley dealer so Gordon could look at the cruisers. We had lunch at Jack in the Box and headed out. One the way home I stopped by ibexris and mimsy's place to say hi and show off my new bike (so excited.)

I went home, got bored, and decided that even though it was stifling hot outside that I'd go grocery shopping on my bike. First though I cruised on over to Krispy Kreme for some donuts. After that I stopped by Freddy's for varios items. Mostly to see how well it all fit in my side cases :D

I futzed around at home for a bit and then tried to get to bed early so I could get up in time for the code golive that we're doing today.

I got up a bit before noon, packed my things and headed out into the world. I checked my bags in at the hotel desk so I could roam the city freely. I had some thai food for an early lunch (not such a great idea on an empty stomach.) Nothing really to do in the area that I was staying other than shop so I did some window shopping and picked up a couple of items at the drug store. I also bought a game and PS2 DVD controller at EB. :D

I got kinda bored so I decided to get to the airport early. I could at least sit in a corner and read if nothing else. So I made my way back to the hotel and collected my bags. I bought more stuff from Lush than would fit into my already full backpack so they very thoughtfully packed into a single box to make it easier for me to transport home. So I made myself a handle for it with some transparent duct tape that I picked up earlier at the drug store. I have to say that's some cool stuff. Not only is it clear, but it's a lot easier to work with than the silver stuff.

So I set off for the airport at a leisurely pace. When checking in I was offered an earlier flight, so I'm now on standby for that flight. The computer decided that I was special today and tagged me for additional screening. It wasn't too bad, only delayed me a few minutes, and the people were both friendly and professional.

Now I'm at the gate and I've got another hour before the plane takes off, I figured that I'd make a post at a blazing 9600 baud.

Today started out with me being woken by my phone. This is a wonderful thing to have happened because not only was it crankygirlie calling, but I had screwed up setting the alarm last night and it would never have gone off.

I made it to work with perfect timing. I spent a bit of time helping daveman692 with the project he's working on and did a bit of my own stuff. I then had two meetings in a row followed by a trip to see another prospective colo facility. By the time we got back from that the day was pretty much over. I sat down with dorkmatt and we went over rack setups and what we should be using. We were the last two out of the office by the time we got done with that. I then headed back to my hotel, stopping in at the Virgin Megastore where I picked up a copy of Logan's Run for $8 and Lush to pick up a few nice smelling things for crankygirlie. I went back to my hotel room to drop things off and then headed out in search of food. I didn't have to go far before I found a super tasty (and cheap!) Thai place across the street. I think that I'll have lunch there tomorrow too.

Now I'm back at the hotel. I'm doing backups for LJ and I think that I'll watch that movie now.
