lazy friday evening

I'm sitting in a small cafe on Vashon Island, drinking a mocha and eating a brownie the size of a brick. There's a photo exhibit going on right now, and people are drifting in and out, and they all seem to know one another. It's pretty cool.

I know I should be picking up on all the important things you mentioned here, but I'm really interested in this brownie you speak of. I'm so hungry right now and it's all your fault!

Now that I think about it, that mocha sounds tempting too.

*When will it end*

I think that I might have to go back for another... totally worth the ferry ride :)

Now that's my kind of Friday! One of my best friends lives on Vashon Island. I got the impression from him that it's a pretty small place, is that true?

It's large in physical space, but it's definitely got the small town feeling. From what I understand the city of Vashon has some very strict rules for growth management. That, and the 20 minute ferry ride make it amazingly remote for being so close to Seattle. From what I could see the prices for land and houses were pretty reasonable too.

Brownie sounds amazing. You make me think of rain, dark chocolate, and snuggly pillows. =)
