I just noticed that BMW updated the 2004 R1150RT to the 2005 R1200RT. I totally have bike lust now. So... anybody got a spare $18k to buy me a bike? no? dammit.

Hey gordonmessmer, you can still get yourself a 2004 R1200C Classic if you hurry. ;)

Sure I'll give you 18k if you give me a ride on the bike.

I'd love to ride that bike to Alaska. I hear that trip is one of the best.

And yes, I timed the read-only perfectly. All part of my master plan ;)

Hi Keith! :)

I've not ridden a K series bike yet. I'm afraid that I might like it too much ;) Maybe when the time comes that I can afford a BMW I'll try one out. They certainly look like fun.

he bought his used - it's a 1998 (but in immaculate condition, i wouldn't beleive him until i saw the registration) for $8k.

0-60 in ~3seconds, taking 60 degree turns at about 80 with a 47 degree lean limit... you're basically laying on the ground, going 80 miles an hour. CRAZY.

so very sweet. My bike will do 0-60 in about 4 seconds I think, not sure how far I can lean, but there is a cut-out on the muffler so it doesn't scrape when I go over that far :D

Once you get a bike you discover that there are not nearly enough windy roads around here.
