Frickin laser beams

  • Jun. 14th, 2009 at 2:09 AM
b/w
I spent most of Friday night playing around with a laser cutter. This is the best toy since the stick. Seriously.

Also, I am now the proud but slightly worried owner of this sidecar:

The price was very good, but it needs work. Fortunately all the parts that I'll need seem to be reasonably easy to come by. I think that I'll leave the boat looking ratty for now, it'll match the R50. The frame will need a lot of work though, and a new wheel.

Oh boy, I have another project. :P

Your subject line made me laugh aloud, which made my next door neighbour (who is outside gardening, and is therefore within earshot of my bedroom windows) look up and ask me in her wee Irish accent, "What sort o' trouble'r ye gettin' into up thar, Haether??" (Yes. "HAY-ther". The Irish and the Scots always get it wrong...or possibly right?)

How's our girl, by the way? I've sent texts but I'm on a 36-hour delay as far as responses go, so I've not heard from her. Give her a really big re-newlywed hug for me, will you? ♥

Dude, frickin laser beams are frickin awesome! I need more things to cut out. We tried making a rocket ship but it didn't hold together.

I gave Julie a hug as instructed. She says that she's not received any messages. You should log into google chat, then you can bug me on my phone. ;)

Yes Ma'am!

It's not here yet though. It's still down in Tacoma at my parent's house (I couldn't carry it on my bike.) Once it's up here there will be lots of pictures.
